Pepper is a Congo African Gray parrot. Born in June 1997, I've had her since she was just 2 weeks old. She spends most of her time on my desk or on my shoulder. I haven't worked with her to learn words, but she's picked a lot up and has quite a good vocabulary. Pepper goes with me everywhere she can and loves riding in the car! They say that Grays have the intelligence of a 6 year old person and I believe that - she's amazes me sometimes! Love my girl!!!

Here she is now at 14 years old!Her feathers are starting to
come in!!! She's about
4 weeks old here and
then her red chest feathers
come in under a year, then
they turn gray.
Grays do not usually lay on their back - it's a sign of strong trust. Here she is playing with a piece of paper!!
